Organizers: Nikia Paulette, Treasure Shields Redmond, Cicely Paine, Pamela Merritt, Evonnia Woods

Five Black women in Missouri joined forces to create a sister march in solidarity with the national March for Black Women. Each of these women played different roles in planning what became the March for Black Women & Marketplace in St. Louis, Missouri. On September 30, participants marched from the InPower Institute to the Center for Divine Love in South St. Louis  – commonly referred to as South City by local residents. When the march ended, participants were invited to attend a marketplace where Black women vendors and artists joined forces to create a space that promoted Black entrepreneurship and artistry. The vision of the organizers became a reality through everyone collectively using their talents to plan the details of the march and the marketplace. There was approximately 250 people who not only attended the march and marketplace, but also made plans to attend other events promoting unity and solidarity in the city. People of all shades and backgrounds came together to march with Black women from and to spaces that support Black women and our communities.

Reproaction was a proud cosponsor of this event!
