The so-called ‘pro-life’ camp will stop at nothing to push their anti-woman agenda. Now they’ve started selling the idea of abortion pill ‘reversal’ – allegedly interrupting a medication abortion by overloading the body with progesterone hormone shots after a person has taken their first abortion pill. Despite unproven claims of the regimen’s efficacy, clinicians are skeptical and warn that it is still not thoroughly tested for use on patients, and thus could have risks for pregnant people.

Not only that, but the questionable ethics of pushing an unproven theory on vulnerable people as a bona fide treatment harkens histories of mistreatment of marginalized populations, especially women of color, by the medical community. It’s time to detangle the speculation from the facts about medication abortion and supposed ‘reversal’ practices.
