Examining Environmental Justice

Access to safe drinking water and food, uncontaminated housing and public spaces, and swift action to address climate change are all critical to dismantling reproductive oppression and building communities where everyone can thrive. Yet, in the wealthiest nation in the world far too many people face the emotional and physical consequences of political and corporate lack of urgency toward environmental justice.

This webinar will focus on work happening at the grassroots level in Missouri, and we look forward to hearing from dynamic organizers working to advance environmental justice in their communities.

Featured speakers include:

  • Tosha Phonix, Food Justice Organizer with the Missouri Coalition for the Environment
  • Leah Clyburn, Organizer with the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal Campaign in Missouri
