Operation Save America has long embraced violent extremism, with leaders and supporters stating beliefs that people who have abortions should be executed. Soon, new leadership will take control of this long-violent organization. That person, Jason Storms, has made statements about open carrying AR-15 semi-automatic rifles in cities and posted on social media implying that government officials should be shot. He has also called accused pedophile Roy Moore a “hero.” [1,2,3,4]
And yet, in spite of the blatantly violent views espoused by its leaders and supporters, the Best Western Plus in Mesa, Arizona, is hosting Operation Save America supporters traveling for a ‘national event’ again. Sign our petition now to tell the Best Western to stop catering to violent, ‘pro-life’ extremists.
To: Ron Pohl, Best Western Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer
I am deeply concerned that the Best Western Plus in Mesa, Arizona, is again offering a group rate to anti-abortion extremists, and demand that you revoke the Best Western welcome given to violent, white supremacist, anti-abortion activists associated with Operation Save America. This organization has embraced violent extremism and poses a danger to the community. Operation Save America leaders and supporters have stated beliefs that people who have abortions should be executed. Further, leaders have made statements about open-carrying AR-15 semi-automatic rifles in cities and implied that government officials should be shot.
You are endangering people, especially people of color, by inviting some of the same people who participated in the white supremacist insurrection at the Capitol on January 6 to stay at your hotel. For the safety of your community and your employees, I urge you revoke the welcome extended to Operation Save America immediately.
